Web Design 12/1211 Monday

Today I complete the content and tested the sight. I later on in day showed my client whom gave me feed back on the completed web site which I then include in my web design evaluation, that I also completed. I managed to complete the whole unit to the deadline.

Web Design 08/12/11 Thursday

Today I worked on the style of my web pages, hyper-linked all my pages together. With the aid of my teacher I was able to resolve the issue with the slide show and instead did the text slide show in Photoshop added it into Dreamweaver as an image. I completed the page layout on each page and even worked on the background colours. I'm basically finished and now only have the content/information to add and to do the evaluation.

Web Design 07/11/11 Wednesday

With the aid of my teacher the code mix up between the two slide shows was sorted however, on the text slide show an element not wanted kept appearing, unfortunately this was not resolved and instead I went onto creating my page links for my web design. I now need to finish the design template for the other pages and add content, link them all and then tidy up certain elements and styles of my web design. Once this is all done I’ll be finished and able to get my client feedback for Monday evening and type up my evaluation.

Web Design 05/11/11 Monday

I had to download my images which took a while due to be being in NIF format, I then had to use Photoshop to resize them and save them for web as Jpegs. I then inserted my slide show widget however, the coding confused its self and some how mixed itself with the text slide show I incorporated earlier in the web. Unfortunately due to the lesson coming to an end I was unable to resolve the issue.

Web Design Log 01/12/11 Thursday

Today I had complications, I managed to weak my slide show and finished working on my menu bar, however that took up most of the dedicated time, however my menu bar is now finally complete. I now have to add my final touches such as the slide show of images.

Web Design Log 28/11/11 Monday

This lesson I managed to get the table sorted and text and slide show sorted. I’m almost done on the homepage, and only have certain tweaks and the menu bar to work on. I believe by the next lesson I would have created my other pages and be adding content. Which isn’t too hard to do.

Web Design Log 23/11/11 Wednesday

The lesson today was a productive one, I managed to insert my slideshow of text with the assistance of my teacher, I also learnt how to change to font and apply different colour and fonts to the different types of text in the slide. I also attempted doing the table again to finish off my homepage template, this again kept distorting however I kept and with the help of my teacher will move segments about to correct this issue. My next goal is to get images of the instructors teaching car to place on in the design and content info, so I can begin the next pages.

Web Design Log 21/11/11 Monday

Today I tried inserting a table within the table of my web design, however the page kept distorting and looked distorted in live preview. This was something I needed assistance with, and so in the end I stopped and undid the table I had done and instead, inserted the last element of my background, which was the orange separate background were I would like my text slideshow to appear.

Managed to work on the top menu bar, however it was not fully working and wouldn’t allow for a transparent background. I decided to move on from this element of the web design and begin working on the other elements of the web design, such as fixing the background gradient colour so it doesn’t show so much white. I also added in my road track border at the top of the page as an image, this was easily inserted to the page

Today I ran into my next complication of not being able to preview my design in web browser, this was easily solved be certain segments in Dreamweaver being altered. I managed to get my main background elements done and put in illustrator. I also made myself an Adobe account to enable access to widget browser.

In order to solve the issue previously I had to start my design all over again however this time the table was designed differently. This time we managed to get the top of the homepage completed, and I was able to complete the rest of the table.

Web Design Log 07/11/11 Monday

Today I attempted piecing my web design together in dream weaver, however it kept failing due to table layout. My teacher helped me realize that my design in Photoshop wasn’t to the scale of 1024, and so disabled me from piecing together the design in illustrator. I had to resize my design in Photoshop and then retake the measurements and recreate my table. However the next complication was the top background not working together, which I didn’t have time to correct in the lesson.

Today I put my final web design into Photoshop. The rulers in Photoshop helped me to make my web table in dream weaver. I attempted making the table on my own and then took measuring’s of all the segments in Photoshop, to help me to puzzle my homepage design together. I managed to complete the table in this lesson however didn’t get to the stage of piecing my web design together.
